WHO ARE SOARING PRODUCTIONS?
Soaring Productions is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The proprietor Darren Brown is a video cameraman and editor with over
37 years experience in the Video Production industry.
In 2015 Darren qualified as a drone pilot and is certified and approved by the UK Civil and Irish Aviation Authorities for Commercial Drone Operations in the UK, Ireland and any European Country, including Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.

this offers many benefits over the standard PfCO / GVC permit. For example a reduced 10m distance to uninvolved people, buildings and structures. A legal requirement if operating in congested areas. Getting close to the subject is essential for carrying out detailed inspection work.
FPV drone flying (First Person View) has been around for sometime in the form of sport drone racing.
However it is becoming very popular within the Film and TV industries because of the small size, speed, agility of the drones
and of course the immense flying skills of the FPV pilot.
We have incorporated the new GoPro Hero9 6K camera to the amazing DJI FPV drone. The industry leaders in drone technology and development.

Although a self-shooting cameraman and drone operator in Northern Ireland, Darren is available for video production and drone work in the Republic of Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and throughout Europe.

AERIAL DRONE SURVEYING & THERMAL IMAGERY
The use of drones is not just beneficial for the Film & TV industry. Soaring Productions also provide aerial drone surveying & roof inspection. The data collected can be used for creating 2D mapping and 3D modelling. Using the amazing Mavic 2 Pro Enterprise Advanced drone allows us to collect aerial thermal data for third party inspections.
Darren is the regional manager for iProsurv. A UK based company that works closely with the major Insurance companies.
